Divorce using The THRIVE Principles

Q. “I feel such a loss of self-confidence and energy right now. How will I survive this divorce?”

A. Ending a marriage isn’t an easy process, but I absolutely believe there is pure gold to be mined from the darkness of divorce. I am a huge advocate for deciding early on in your process that you don’t have to simply “survive” the experience, but that you can actually choose to thrive as a result of it. An incredibly powerful set of tools you can use are The THRIVE Principles ™.

I was recently interviewed on a national CBC-TV talk show, The Steven and Chris Show, and I discussed what these principles are and how you can apply them to help guide your on your divorce journey. Not only did I have a great time, but it was an opportunity to share some really valuable information as well. Divorce is a tough topic, but as you’ll see you can bring a spirit of curiosity and fun to it as well. As you’ll see, even Chris, the interviewer, learned some new strategies he can bring to support his friends who are having relationship trouble.

Commit yourself to learning and applying the THRIVE Principles (TM) and you’ll start to feel a significant shift in your energy and self-confidence!

Manifesting a Vegas Luxury Suite for $90

I recently attended David Neagle’s “Experience the Reality of Success” seminar in Las Vegas, which is a truly incredible event. It’s all about shifting your mindset and learning how to manifest. I even had the opportunity to meet with Ivanka Trump, who is a truly inspirational and savvy business woman!

I stayed at Caesar’s Palace in a lovely room for $180/night when I heard about an opportunity to get a room rate of only $90/night through www.hotels.com. I decided I want to be a good steward of my money and made the switch for the last night of my stay. It was a hassle checking out of one room, and checking into another, but…. check out this video to see what I ended up with! Apparently these suites typically go in the $1500/night range, but I got this one for only $90! It was a great reminder of what a strong intention to manifest abundance can create!

In the second video, my friend and media and communications coach extraordinaire, Annetta Wilson, shares her reaction at my fantastic find. Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day with my Mastermind Group

Honest, I’m not always in Los Angeles on the weekends, but it just seems like it this past month! I had a great two-day meeting with my mastermind group, facilitated by David Neagle. He’s a master at the mindset and I highly recommend his work. Check him out and you can get his powerful Art of Success when you join his ezine list. We met at the Ritz Carlton in LA. I’ve really been seeing the power of being a part of a mastermind group and will share some of the principles of how they work, and why everyone should be in one, in future Thrive Guide articles!

Feeding the Soul in LA

With the incredible Christine Kloser, celebrating the Freedom Formula Experience she created

What an incredible time I had in Los Angeles at Christine Kloser’s Freedom Formula Experience. I spent 4 beautiful days with other entrepreneurs seeking to create businesses infused with soul that help make a difference in the lives of others.

A definite highlight was scooting off to an early service at the Agape Spiritual Center. It was only my second time there, and if you’re ever in LA on a Sunday morning you definitely should take advantage of it, regardless of your religious denomination or beliefs. There’s an expression of soul I find there that is unique, powerful and reminds me at the deepest level of the fundamental oneness that connects all human beings.

My friends and I were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the amazing Reverend Michael Beckwith himself — and give that man a huge group hug!

Enjoying an incredible early am Agape service, and we were blown away by the inspiration and passion of Reverend Michael Beckwith (center). Here I am with some of my sisters, (L-R) Debbie Phillips, Maria Gamb, Cynthia Ward, and Andrea Hylen

Thrive After Divorce site hit by Mercury in retrograde

My friends who are savvy in astrology tell me that right now Mercury is in retrograde. The stars are apparently lining up to create a difficult time for “communication, networking, information-flow and travel. ” Mercury went retrograde January 12, which was the same day that my hosting company was hit by some hackers wanting to create some disruption! Well, it worked!

I just wanted to let you know that my main site, www.ThriveAfterDivorce.com has been affected and may temporarily be hard to access while my hosting company cleans out the bugs. I do apologize for any inconvenience and ask that you just check back while the problem is being resolved.

Here are some tips I found out about how to handle Mercury in retrograde (which lasts for about 3 weeks and happens 3-4 times a year). (Source: http://www.thegreenduck.com/ka/mercrx.shtml)

Try to avoid signing legal documents, closing big deals or starting new projects, if possible. Backup your hard drive before the retrograde. Allow extra travel time.

Mercury in retrograde isn’t all bad, however. It can be a great time to research new projects or clean up projects already underway. Perfect time to catch up on paperwork too!

Most important tip seems to be maintaining a sense of humor!

West Coast travels

Caroyln & Isolina RicciMy recent trip to the west coast was a week, but the intensity of the experience made it feel like I was gone for a month! My first stop was the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. Over 1,000 professionals involved in all aspects of family courts were there from all over the world – judges, lawyers, child protection workers, therapists, mediators and more. I was an exhibitor and had the chance to meet and mingle with many of the participants. One of the highlights was meeting Dr. Isolina Ricci, author of “Mom’s House Dad’s House” and “Mom’s House, Dad’s House for Kids.” She’s a wonderful woman and I consider her books to be absolute “must have” reference books for any family going through separation and divorce.

New York City Travels

Boy, do I ever love New York City! And so do my children! In my early career I lived in NYC for a while, working for an investment bank on Wall Street (seems like another lifetime now). I love the bustle and energy of Manhattan and my children are a great age and stage to really appreciate it. For a few days of spring break, we did up the Big Apple like regular tourists, taking in some… Continue reading
